Emergency Care
Phone calls to the IDP office are answered in person between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. There is always an IDP physician available for emergencies after hours, on weekends and on holidays. After-hours callers to our main office number, 703-560-7900, are directed to the answering service, which allows the on-call physician to be contacted. Emergencies that cannot be managed over the phone are usually managed in collaboration with the Emergency Department at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Alexandria Hospital or the hospital most convenient to the patient.
Infectious Diseases
Infectious Diseases Physicians, Inc. (IDP) is a private clinical practice located in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C. devoted to the care of people with infectious diseases. Our physicians all joined our practice because of their commitment to the care of their patients. In addition to the care of the ill in our Fairfax and Alexandria offices, Infectious Diseases Physicians support our patients and our community with a variety of additional services, including: office and home infusion services, hospital in-patient infectious diseases care at Inova Fairfax Medical Complex and Inova Alexandria Hospital, travel health services, and access to new treatments through clinical trials.

The Washington DC area is home to a variety of different communities. Within some of these communities there are individuals who travel internationally for a wide range of reasons. Travel to many parts of the world may present health risks, which can often be anticipated before travel, or which may need to be dealt with during a trip or upon return. IDP clinicians have many years of experience in advising travelers, providing immunizations and preventive medications, and in addressing health concerns upon return from overseas travel. IDP is alsoone of only a few facilities in the area with certification to administer Yellow Fever immunization. Travel health services are individualized based on the needs of each traveler. To arrange for travel health services please call to schedule an appointment well in advance of travel whenever possible.Laboratory and Other Testing Services

Internal Medicine
Dr. Jain joined IDP in 2016. She received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 2011. She completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Internal Medicine in 2014. Most recently, she completed her fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine in Infectious Disease in 2016.

Our office is located close to radiology testing centers that provide X-rays, CT Scans, MRI and other sophisticated tests. These facilities customarily provide your clinician with a written report of your test result which becomes a part of your patient record with IDP.

General Podiatry
Dr. Delman is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He concentrates on the inpatient consultative aspects of IDP’s clinical care and works effectively with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus medical staff and medical students. In this capacity he has been recognized with the Attending of the Year Award, Sub-specialty IM Residency, 2017 – 2018; and the Medical Educator of the Year Award, Podiatry Residency, 2017 – 2018. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Continuum of Care program with Inova Fairfax Medical Campus where he provides care for patients at nursing homes.
