I saw Dr. Elliott as a referral from my regular dentist due to a bad root canal. He tapped on my tooth for 10 minutes and told me to get it pulled. I have Delta Dental Insurance and was assured that Delta would pay for the visit. Then I received a bill since Elliott's office had coded the visit as an examination rather than a consultation. I get two examinations a year (which go with tooth cleanings), and three consultations. It being September, my exams were used up, but I have had no consults this year (I get three annually). I verified this with Delta, called Elliott's office and was told "too bad, we only bill as exams." So be forewarned.
