THE A B S O L U T E WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.
It was 1.13.16 and I did not want to go into this location because there is a gentleman who I assume to be the branch manger of sorts who always says to me before the door can close, "What can we do for you." There is rarely even a greeting and never a smile as if he was providing service. Simply, "What can we do for you." And he looks at you like the small grocery store owner who is eyeing you for a possible police sketch later.
Since this is now my bank (and that's another story) I've overlooked the slights in customer service but on this day, I had to make a rather sizable deposit since I had 2k in smaller bills. I did not want to go in and be looked upon suspiciously so I opted to use the drive through ATM machine. BIG MISTAKE. HUGE MISTAKE.
I divided the funds up in three equivalent sized stacks to put them in the atm. After the first stack the machine gave me the tally and indicated "would you like to make an additional deposit." I pressed yes and deposited the second stack. Again it indicated, would you like to make an additional deposit." I again pressed yes and inserted the funds. But this time the machine kicked the funds out and gave me a note that read, "Please go inside the branch."
Concerned that I had now deposited over 1,500 into this machine that had not been credited to my account I went into the branch where I met the suspicious branch mangageritte. I told him the problem and then he said, "I will enter a claim."
"A claim? what are you saying?"
And then he said the word any one hates to hear in this situation. "Since there is a DISPUTE..." There was no dispute. I put the money in the machine and I was not credited. That's called stealing not a dispute.
He then went on to tell me that it could take 10 days before the "dispute," was settled.
I am not a wealthy man by any means. For someone to take over 1,500.00 from me and indicate you may or may not get it is not acceptable. And then he said I would be sent a letter advising me of their decision. In an age of text message and dare I say TELEPHONES you are going to snail mail me a letter about money you owe me?
As of this writing I have not received one call from them. I spoke to the managerette yesterday after repeatedly trying to get him on the phone and he said someone would look at the machine--but I still have not received my money.
I feel I was robbed by the bank and I need assistance in some way--legal or otherwise. After reading all of the negative reviews I think I need to find another bank.
