I used Elite Air last week to service my furnace in a house that I rent out. The tenants were experiencing an odor through some of the air vents when turning the central a/c on. I had two other companies come out to assess the situation, one of which I used to have the tank system cleaned, which they thought was the problem. After coming up against many scheduling problems, discrepancies on promised rates, and miscellaneous incidents of frustration, I called this company. I was pleased that they could fit me in within the same week, rather than weeks or even months down the line. I had to reschedule a couple of times, which they were fine with. I was also a bit late coming to the appt as I was in traffic. The technician waited for me and was cheerful upon my arrival. He had an idea of what the problem might be before he arrived, however, when he checked the dehumidifier, he discovered that it was no longer working, and had quite a buildup, which was causing the odor. He removed the unit and cleaned the rest of the furnace for just $119, in just about an hour's time. (Why the previous companies couldn't figure out that the dehumidifier was the source of the problem, I have no idea!!) He let me know that a duct cleaning was available, but he did not push this option. He cleaned everything up and gave instructions for running the system to clear up the rest of the odor. He accepted cash or check for payment. I did wish that he accepted credit cards, however, I'd much rather have a lower service rate than this added convenience! In conclusion, it was a positive experience, and we will definitely use them in the future for our HVAC needs.
