DO NOT BUY AN ANIMAL FROM THEM!!!!!! I do not know anything about how they groom, BUT DO NOT BUY A PET FROM THEM!!!
We had been searching for a playmate for our lap puppy. We found the perfect dog here...or so we thought. A 10 week old puppy that was "crate trained" and "socialized". We drove an hour to see him, we fell in love and took him home but within hours he was very aggressive with our lab puppy....almost violent. I’ve had lots of dogs, pure bred, rescue, pound pooches….. and know how to socialize dogs. This dog is just aggressive and needs a certain household…… 15 hours later I tried to take him back because all he wanted to do was fight with our puppy…not play….fight!!! He was not crate trained and not socialized with other dogs...and I was told "sorry that’s the risk you take" you have to keep him or give him back to us....you signed a contract.....so they keep your money, and want that dog back so they can resale it! I even asked for half of my money back and keep the rest as a donation because we are animal lovers and want them to be successful in helping pets find homes...again I was told "that's the risk you take"...I was even told they would take me to court if they find out I sold the animal or gave it away…yeah like the crap contract they have you sign is remotely legal…..they are in it for money…DO NOT BUY AN ANIMAL FROM THEM!!!!!! I do not know anything about how they groom, BUT DO NOT BUY A PET FROM THEM!!!

I recently got a dog and decided to check out a few places around town that he might like. I read a bunch of reviews about the place and most were negative. I decided not to take most of them to heart as most people don't go online to write positive reviews. I just saw the front lobby, so I can't say anything for the back or boarding. The place was crowded. I mean, there were two floors and probably 60 animals in my sights as soon as I stepped in. Many cats were roaming around without supervision. The cages for small dogs were up front and there were too many dogs to a cage. I cage that should hold 2 dogs held about 8-10. They looked fairly miserable. I worker was handing out treats to the dogs and they still looked unhappy. The staff was friendly and polite. I'm a great judge of character and can read situations really well. Unfortunately, something felt off about the place. There was nothing said that was alarming, but I still feel uncomfortable being in there.

NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! I have boarded my dogs here several times but never at its new location. well when I picked them up they smelled like urine and my golden had a wound on his leg as well as his lip. when I confronted management they said that sometimes dogs bite there legs when anxious. My golden has boarded several times and never bites his leg. I think that it was that his leg was stuck in the rusted crate that he was being boarded in. it disgusts me that the animals are being kept in such inhumane conditions there are crates stacked on top crates and no grass for them to use the restroom on. I will never use this business again and I hope that other people take there pets elsewhere.

Love For Paws! Our sweet puppy started going for weekly grooming when she was 12 weeks old, and she is now 4 years old. We have NEVER had a problem. We also adopted our kitten from them 4 months ago. I love the staff, they not only love their job but they care about your pets as if they were their own. Our puppy was really sick a couple of months ago and was at the vet on IV fluids for a week. They messaged us on facebook and would drop by the vets office just to check on her. I couldn't ask for a better place to take our pets. We also purchase our food/supplies from them. The rescue is great, and I wish we could help out more for them to see how much we appreciate their work!!

This is the worst place to take your pet to get groomed. The facility is disgusting and smells of animal feces when you walk in the door. I took my dog there to get groomed (only because my usual place was booked and was going out of town and on a short time frame) and received terrible customer service from the staff/managers and the worst haircut possible. The haircut was very choppy and uneven all over, I could have done a better job at home for free. They also charged me extra because of "excess matting and knots" which would have been completely fine had they not left a huge matted knot behind my dogs ear and a couple small ones on her paw (she had just recovered from a broken leg and had a cast on for 8 weeks) and she smelled like she had not even been bathed, usually she smells great for at least a couple days afterwards. Once I get her home she continued to scratch non stop for the next two days, with her skin turning red and several severe redspots on her as well. I took her to the vet where they informed me that she had a reaction to what they bathed her in or to the inhumane facility they keep her in. I received some pills and was told to come back if the scratching did not improve to get different medication, in which case that means she had caught something from there. I went back to talk to the manager and ask for a refund. They had no compassion and was very rude. They offered for me to bring the dog back up there to "fix" the haircut, but I would rather not have to deal with the repercussions of their repugnant facility and staff!!!!!

For Paws Rescue does not sell dogs or cats. We have people fill out an application and if approved a adoption contract. The contract states that we do not guarantee the health of the pet or do any refunds and that any pets that are not able to be kept need to be returned to For Paws Rescue.
We try very hard to make sure all adoptions are going to the right home and family. Adopting a pet is a commitment for a family and or an individual. We try and support and help in any way we can but there are limits to what we can do, our rescue is completely supported by donations. This is why we have people sign a contract, so that all the expectations are understood at the time of adoption.
For Paws Rescue is a non profit 501c-3. We run out of the same facility as the Boutique but are separate organizations.
Thank you for support for both.

I have taken my two dogs here for baths a couple of times, and they came back clean and with neatly trimmed nails. The most recent time, I picked them up like normal, and went home. When I got home, I found that one of my dogs had a toe that was bleeding pretty heavily. I figured it was just a nail that got cut too short. I immediately took him to the vet to have it looked at, and it turns out that his toenail had been ripped out and he would need stitches. I went to For Paws to ask if they knew what happened, and they claimed that no one had seen or done anything to him. They refused to take any responsibility for what happened to my dog on their watch. My vet told me that it would require a considerable amount of force to pull the nail out, and it's likely that it happened during the nail trim. Don't take your animal here if you care about them. The staff here truly do not care about the animals under their care or their customers.

There is no place else that I would take my pets! They gave extra special care to my old dog by not putting her in a cage. Molly was very particular about who she trusted and she didn't hesitate to walk right into For Paws. To me, this spoke volumes. I also have a foster failure from them. Rebecca has bent over backwards to take care of him. She has also been an invaluable resource to me when I have questions regarding behavior, training, etc. So for my family, we will choose For Paws EVERY time!!!!
