Austin Children's Academy

By looking at good reviews for Austin Children’s Academy (ACA), we decided to enroll our toddler to ACA. When I visited the ACA location on RM 620, the front desk members were not welcoming and they were busy with their computer work. The staff was not welcoming as if they were forced to work there. I was able to get the tour of the school and the tour was great, so we decided to enroll our toddler in their school. Per our phone conversation with Miss. Krishna, we finalized to enroll our toddler for remaining 15 days part time of that month and full time from next month. I made the payment of $369 for Supply + Admin + etc. When, I went on Monday morning to ACA to submit the form, they asked me to pay tuition fees around $400 have a meeting with teacher at 2pm, but unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the meeting at that day 2 pm since I am a working mom. I requested for any other time for the meeting and they were unable to give me any other time for the meeting. I think the purpose of us parents enrolling our children to Daycare/Montessori is because we have work and if they are unable to work with us for the meeting then how would it work? They are not at flexible with their timings. At the end, even after making a total payment of $800 they gave a spot to other kid for no reason. I would not suggest this school to any working parent and do not go by their good reviews like we did.

Not up to the rating. Didn't see anything my son learnt from this school compared to his previous school or the current one.

The teachers are very nice, however, my daughter did not learned anything at this school. I understand they are Montessori, but they are so focused on behavior and discipline that i have a 4 year old who barely knew her alphabet. Needless to say I took her out of ACA and she is now at a private school and has learned so much in just a few weeks than two years at ACA. Very disappointed in the school curriculum. Maybe their teachers are not certified to teach.
