Talking with dispatcher at the animal control center after I had been bitten by my own cat that is kept inside my house at all times, I had said that I felt it was not necessary to have an inspector come out to see if the cat had rabies. The cat is kept indoors at all times. The cat has it's shot updated, including rabies shots. The dispatcher said asked me if I am refusing to cooperate, I said yes. She said OK and hung up on me. I then wondered if I could get into trouble over this, I called back and asked if there is a law that I may violate by refusing, she said yes. I then stated it is probably a good idea to inform people that they are violating a code by not cooperating under these circumstances, she stated I was being condescending. I then said I run my life by-law and that I will cooperate because it is the law. My complaint is and the reason I give a low rating is because I was not informed it is law for the inspector to come out and put my cat on a ten day quarantine because my cat bites me for trying to get it into a cage for transport. I could have been charged with a misdemeanor without me knowing I had violated any law.

I have nothing good to say about the attitude some of these ladies have. We take in strays cats all the time due to the increasing population in our neighborhood. These ladies treated us rudely. They said the cat we brought in wasn't feral. I disagreed and showed them it had already attacked me. They respond with, " That's what Siamese do anyways." Maybe that's true, but come up with a more polite way to state that fact. They then go to discuss this in the other room and we can hear EVERYTHING they are saying. The walls are NOT thick. All the while...we were still waiting to get our cat trap back. I couldn't believe the way these ladies handled the situation. If you can't say anything nice....Don't say anything at all. I believe we all learned that growing up.
