Situated at the headwaters of the fly-only section of the Pere Marquette River, it affords convenience and comfort unique to the area and is a wonderful place to begin your relaxation. Walk from your room and step into the river to sample salmon, steelhead or the year-round trout fishing. Canoeing, golfing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, or watching the sunset over Lake Michigan, all can be enjoyed within a short drive from the lodge.

        Overall

        I found the rooms clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was nice. Beautiful grounds. When we arrived we were greeted by the male owner, very friendly and personable. The female owner, on the other hand, seemed as if she were not happy to do anything for us. I kind of felt like we were imposing on her.

        Great place to stay. I would recommend to anyone staying in or around the Baldwin area, rooms are clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast is great. Owners are warm and friendly!
