- Terry Smith opened American Plumbing in September 1989 serving the East Baton Rouge and Ascension areas. The owner grew up in the plumbing industry and stayed in the plumbing industry. He was 10 years old the first time he helped his dad on his plumbing service repair truck.

Terry and American Plumbing have been a real blessing to the widows in our church. We call Terry from time to time to check on plumbing issues at the homes of one of the widows in our church that struggle financially. More often than not, Terry has his guys take care of the plumbing issue at the widows home and neither the church or the widow never see a bill.
