Jimmy's Trattoria

It is now 2015 and wow Jimmy's has only improved. A staple in the community for god knows how many years and I love going back each time. This time especially. The food is great, the atmosphere romantic (we went on Valentines day), and the staff seems to provide great service. Definitely a must go when in Bayside!

The food is good but not worth going there. The atmosphere is horrendous if you are not a regular or favorite of the man who manages the restaurant because the place was packed. Went there for dinner and got a rush job which made the whole experience stressful. The manager was actually pushing his wait staff around and telling them that they were allowing people to sit at the tables for too long of a time. I had dinner for 2 which cost me $150 but apparently they are not interested in my business and had a time limit on my stay. They wanted me and other patrons out as soon as the place got crowded. Other patrons commented as well on how they were rushed and felt sorry for the wait staff. A better place to go is Anthony's on Union Turnpike near Bell Blvd. Great atmosphere and food. I am never rushed there and the wait staff is very accomodating. The owner goes to all the tables and speaks with his patrons. I went there with friends for a meal with a nice bottle of wine and we spent several hours there. Very relaxing and much better dining experience.

Been going here for decades, LOVE IT!!! Always fresh food, elegant surroundings, and terrific service. Try their famous Luciano sauce. YUM!
