In addition to routine care, our dental practice offers various preventive treatments tailored to your specific needs. These may include dental sealants to protect vulnerable teeth, fluoride treatments to strengthen enamel, and oral cancer screenings for early detection.

Teeth Cleaning
The first line of defense against gum disease is a unique type of cleaning called â€œscaling and root planing.â€ In this procedure, an ultrasonic cleaning device is used to remove plaque and tartar from your teeth where regular cleaning devices can't reach: under the gum line, on the tooth, and around the root. Then, the rough surface of the tooth and the root are smoothed out (planed). This provides a healthy, clean surface that makes it easier for the gum tissue to reattach to the tooth.
Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is effective in preventing cavities and tooth decay and in preventing plaque from building up and hardening on the toothâ€™s surface. A fluoride treatment in your dentistâ€™s office takes just a few minutes. After the treatment, patients may be asked not to rinse, eat, or drink for at least 30 minutes in order to allow the teeth to absorb the fluoride. Depending on your oral health or your doctorâ€™s recommendation, you may be required to have a fluoride treatment every three, six, or 12 months.
Dental Sealants
Ask your dentist about dental sealants, protective plastic coatings that can be applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth where decay often starts.

Resin Composite
Traditional dental restoratives, or fillings, are most often made of silver amalgam, a strong and durable material that is typically used to restore teeth in the back of the mouth that is subject to extreme forces when chewing. For those who desire a more natural look, newer dental fillings such as ceramic and plastic compounds, also known as composite resins, can be used on the front teeth.
Veneers
If you have chipped, cracked, or severely discolored teeth, porcelain veneers may be the ideal solution to enhance the appearance of your smile. Our expert dentists will carefully design and bond these thin shells of porcelain to the front of your teeth, providing a natural-looking and durable solution. Porcelain veneers can also correct uneven spacing, misalignment, and irregularly shaped teeth, giving you a flawless smile you can be proud of.
Crowns
If you have too much gum showing when you smile, causing your teeth to look short, we call this a gummy smile. If your gum line is uneven, causing some teeth to look shorter than others, we call this a crooked smile. Both situations are easily remedied with a procedure referred to as a gum lift or crown lengthening. During this procedure, we remove excess gum tissue and reshape the contour of your gums to lengthen the crowns of your teeth and provide a natural-looking gum line.

Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a cost-effective way to repair minor cosmetic issues such as chipped, discolored, or slightly crooked teeth. The filling used for bonding is made of a tooth-colored material that closely matches the shade of your natural teeth and blends in seamlessly. Bonded fillings can also be used for tooth decay instead of silver amalgam and are much less noticeable.

Root Canal Treatment
In the past, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve, you would likely have to have the tooth extracted. Now, thanks to root canal treatment, your tooth can be saved! This special dental procedure is used when a tooth is cracked, has a deep cavity, or has been infected. If left untreated, the infection can spread to the jawbone and cause immense pain and swelling.

Dentures
Dentures are natural-looking replacement teeth that are removable. There are two types of dentures: full and partial. Full dentures are given to patients when all natural teeth have been removed. Partial dentures are attached to a metal frame that is connected to your natural teeth and are used to fill in where permanent teeth have been removed. Just like natural teeth, dentures need to be properly cared for. Use a gentle cleanser to brush your dentures, always keep them moist when theyâ€™re not in use, and be sure to keep your tongue and gums clean as well.
