Tranquility Ponds more than doubles the price of their products and then writes "all sales are final" very tiny on their receipts. I bought a pond pump for more than twice the price it is available anywhere else! The employee told me that it was cheaper than you could buy it anywhere else. When I looked on Amazon I was amazed that they would mark an item up this much and then sell it like I was getting a good deal. When I tried to return it they said "you can't return it because you opened it" I told them no I didn't open it. They said " all sales are final and we will not take it back. They are crooks and will I hope that they are out of business soon!

IF I COULD RATE WITH NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD! This morning I had an unbelievable retail experience. I purchased a pump, 7 days ago, from the Beaverton location of Tranquility ponds off of 217. It was very expensive, but as I had come from Clackamas where another of their stores had closed down, the employee offered a 20% discount. I did buy the pump at that point. ($329.00 that I purchased for $295.00) I got home and looked online only to discover the same pump from 123ponds.com for $192.00 with no shipping. In calling the store back I was told to bring it back in to them, they would take care of it. As a working person, it was the following Saturday before I could take the pump, still in the box, the original receipt and myself to the closer location in vancouver, WA after calling them the day before and getting the same, "yes bring it in, no problem" statement. WELL, BIG PROBLEM!! They refused to take it back and pointed out the 'all sales final after 3 days' print on the receipt. In my original purchase, and two follow up phone calls, this was not mentioned. THE EMPLOYEE ALSO REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE BUSINESS OWNERS NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION WHEN I ASKED FOR IT! They must be well paid to shelter him (or her) so well. My husband is wondering if the business has sold and has new ownership, as we, like many others have had good, reliable service in the past. I will never spend another penny at this shoddy establishment with zero customer service and will be warning anyone I can BY ANY MEANS POSSIBLE to steer clear.

I had been a loyal customer for 8 years. This account is true, though beyond belief. I said nothing rude to this employee I encountered, unless looking irritated counts, or asking for help with a product. Read on and beware of this business:



A 20s something, stocky male employee, 5'9" with brown hair, named Ben was at the store. He was indifferent to my presence, though I was the only customer there. He was resistant to help me when asked about a fountain head I needed to return. I asked if he would mind plugging in another one off the shelf into a display fountain to verify it worked before I left with it.



He scoffed; told me I could do it if I needed to. I was stunned. I said "are you kidding-you too busy?" He told me "not to back talk him" calmly and confidently. I shook me head in disbelief, asking what his name was. He smirked while telling me his name. I chose to leave and forget about the refund before I said something regretful. As I headed for the door, he yelled at me to "blank off."







I called another Tranquility Ponds location, explaining the story; asking for the owner to call me. I never heard from them.
