Ultra Custom Cleaners

This is the first time I have used their services and recently gave them 2 fancy tops for dry cleaning. One had embroidery and both were of delicate material. Also both have been dry cleaned at another business many times with no issues.

They have completely damaged both outfits. In one the buttons were fusing with the fabric and any attempts to separate them were ripping apart the fabric. In the second, all the wooden beads that were adorning the top, were missing and the black fabric was looking patchy.

What i get in return is a half hearted apology and I had to make several trips to the cleaners before I could get any explanation from the manager for the damages, who had made up her mind about the way the outfit was sewn even before seeing the garment. Apparently they can't treat different fabrics differently and offered an arbitrary amount of $30 for both outfits, with no logic to arriving at that amount & without even checking the value of the garments.

I declined her generous offer. My problem is that such businesses should not take in the pieces if they do not feel capable of handling it delicately. I expect there to be a difference in the way silks, woolen garments and cotton garments are treated.

In short, this is not an establishment you want to try out if you value the condition of your garments. Mine have been completely ruined and cannot be worn again.
