        Dr. Berookim's practice is devoted to the full range of GI diseases and conditions. These include the evaluation and treatment of heartburn, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, abnormal liver tests and precancerous or cancerous growths of the GI tract. Evaluation of such problems is usually performed first by obtaining a history and performing a physical examination, and then if indicated by obtaining additional blood tests, radiological studies, or by performing an endoscopic examination.         Overall

        After my first colonoscopy about 10 years ago, I was really not looking forward to having another. With Dr. Berookim as my new doctor, my second colonoscopy was far more successful of an experience, as I felt great right afterwards.

        Having Barrett's esophagus is no fun, but being under the care of a great gastroenterologist makes all the difference! Dr. Berookim put me on anti-acid medication and recommended a treatment called RFA to protect me from getting esophageal cancer in the future.

        Overall

        I went to Dr. Berookim for a much needed colonoscopy and found the process to be much more comfortable than I expected. He was helpful and informative, and I'd definitely go back to Dr. Berookim in the future.

        Dr. Berookim is such a great doctor and has a great staff as well. They make scheduling appointments very easy and every time I am in the office I feel like Dr. Berookim is focusing all of his attention on me. I never feel rushed and he does a great job explaining any procedures I need to have or what gastrointestinal issues I have. Clearly a colonoscopy is not something I look forward to, but with Dr. Berookim the procedure is as easy as possible
