It being Labor Day, my normal vet was closed. When I called their number, I was forwarded to the airport pet er clinic. It was either wait till 4:30 pm to get my dog into the Robinson pet hospital or take him to the airport er clinic. So I took him to the airport er clinic. He has been having a reoccurring issue within the last month. The only way to fix this issue is to have him neutered (which they refused to do). Most clinics only charged me $100 to have it done. These people charged me $328 to have this done. All about money, did not care that I was displeased with the amount. Don't take your pet here unless you most certainly have to. I will not be taking my pet here again. It was an absolutely ridiculous experience.

First if you bring a hit dog bring your credit card.it is your responsibility. Recently my dog ate a belt I don't know other prices I think 60 70% increase would be fair.We all take that responsibility getting must have a dollar limit made up before hand myself maybe would have possibly put him down but he is my daughter's favorite I tell her she saved his life happy happy happy

I just moved to the Tri Cities area and am not familiar with this emergency vet. However, an incident was just posted by the Blountville Animal Shelter where an injured dog (hot by a car) was taken to this emergency vet by a Good Samaritan and denied care. The reason being that there was no one to take financial responsibility. The poor dog had just been hit by a car. The vet could have at least examined the dog and provided a safe place for him to rest while the owners and or rescues were being located. Is that what this world is coming to? Whatever happened to doing something for the sake of doing what is right, out of a sense of compassion and love? It doesn't always have to be all about the mighty dollar. Due to this situation, I know that I will never be taking my dogs to this vet. I hear that Robinson has an emergency service and is an amazing vet.

Thank you APEC! I have unfortunately had to bring my babies out here during the odd hours of the night and am always greeted with such a fantastic group of people. My poor Lilah and Lilly ate some chicken bones on Christmas eve and I, to say the least, panicked! The only place open was the Airport Pet Emergency Clinic and I couldn't be more thankful for their service. My little ones will never eat chicken again... but if they do I know where to go!

Thank you Airport Pet Emergency Clinic for saving my little boy! My sweet little Chihuahua got attacked by a neighbors large dog in my yard. It was a holiday so my daytime vet was closed. They did X-rays and said he had 4 abdominal hernias. After a long and risky surgery where they had to take out part of his intestine and were worried he could get peritonitis (due to having holes in his intestine from teeth) they kept him over the holiday and watched him making sure he was recovering and didn't get an infection. He had to be hospitalized for a week and a half. ( I transferred him between my daytime clinic and the ER at night for constant supervision). After their watchful eye, around the clock antibiotics, pain medication, and other stomach medicine he made a full recovery! I am a nurse and was super impressed with the level of care and medicine he received. Me being a nurse and a nervous Momma called every few hours throughout the holiday and the nights he was there, they always gave me updates and were very nice and reassuring. They are all very special people to work the hours they do and for caring for my little baby! Thank you Airport Pet Emergency clinic for being there for us! My little Axle would have died if you hadn't been there and took such good care of him!

I love this clinic and their sweet staff! Several of my pets have been seen here and they have always been so good to them. Recently our Schnauzer came down with Pancreatitis and they saved her life. She was so sick and spiked a terrible fever! I saw Dr. Phipps and Dr. Hahn and they were so informative and kind. They helped me decide the best treatments for her and kept me aware of everything going on with my little girl. The techs were incredibly knowledgeable and never complained about my numerous phone calls. When I picked her up they gave me a big packet telling me about her hourly treatments. I can't express my gratitude enough. Yes, they do cost more than my normal vet but they're emergency. They actually weren't that much more for the bloodwork and it was returned within 30 minutes my regular vet needs at least a day before they get it back. My pets will always be seen here if a problem pops up after hours.

I'm not sure where to begin... My experience at the animal was a long lasting horrible one, First off I brought my American Pit bull in. He's 9 years old very healthy and was raised properly. He and his son got into a scuffle and his ears had lacerations that I thought would need sutures. I wrapped his ears because he kept shaking his head making his wounds worse and bleeding more. It was 10PM when I brought him in. (Roscoe in his name) we waited for 2 hours got called in to the room and sat for another hour. The actual DVM came in stating he was growling and she could not see his wounds to address him. I stated why are you just now telling me this after hours, I would be more than happy to come back there and get him out of the cage. ( I don't have a cage and don't believe in caging animals) was the reason I thought. When I walked back there he was shaking and bleeding all over the floor and slinging blood inside the cage. I demanded an explanation for not addressing this, and asked for gauze and a wrap so I could wrap his ears myself.(now I know why he was growling) I was basically told since he was a pit a growling they were going to address the other animals and then tend to him later. After getting him in the room the DVM stated she would get an estimate together for sedating him and addressing the wounds because they cant take the chance of getting bit. even with me there and a muzzle.... I said ok I guess she has still not once looked at his wounds basically guessing at this point. Another hour had passed ( now 4 hours into this) she walked in the room with an ($718.00) bill!!!! Now im not a doctor but I do have common sense and I know what is necessary and not I see that $300.00+ is a bunch of bull he does not need and way overpriced pills. even the Vet tech told me that. The Vet tech gives me a pamphlet with this credit info on it and demands me that I call this number and get a credit card so I can afford the $718.00 bill. because I questioned all the unnecessary fees that I saw. I told him I would look into it as a last resort only. He thought that since I would get approved I would just pay $718 because im not paying for it right now instead over many months. Well I can read between the lines my friend and saw this a mile away. By this time im mad im tired and my dog has been neglected for too long. 1 more hour later. (5 hours now- 3:00AM) The Vet Tech walks in and ask for the credit card info so they can charge me. I said NO I told you it was a last resort!! They give me a new bill for $384.00??? I sign the paper and they sedate him and take him to the back within 5 min. of me signing the paper and paying them. They tell me to come back in 4-5 hours and i came get him. when i do he has this cheap cone way to tight on his head and blood running out it. They didn't clean him up at all when they should have done it while he was sedated. they only did sutures and put him back in the cage to wake up!! Now I have to put him threw more pain cleaning his dried blood.! Now with all this being said. All I can say is this Animal hospitals main priority is MONEY first and the care for your animal second. Im not happy im not impressed i would never recommend anyone to go there within having plenty of money in the bank and thick skin. They are under staffed and not very professional. I'm very sad my dog had to go threw this process. If this was life threatening and i couldn't pay $718. then what... My First Dog which is my son to me by every meaning of the word because i unfortunately cannot have kids, would have died because of my bank account. This disgraces me to high heaven and i feel like my story needs to be heard and seen by others and this business.
