Harrison Dental

I called Harrison Dental on short notice (the day before 4th of July), complaining about some sensitivity with one of my teeth that Harrison Dental advised me a year ago to get a filling. I didn't want it to progress to another root canal, so since today was my day off, I decided to have the tooth looked at, and Harrison Dental got me in right away. They took another x-ray and the dark shadow hadn't gotten worse on the tooth that I was worried about, but Dr. Fife suggested I get a filling done. I agreed, and he did it. The bill came to $301.00, and I was a bit taken back. I asked if I could get a discount, or get a deal, and they said no, that they had given me breaks in the past and that because they had to stay late on the day before the 4th of July, there was no price break, and then Dr. Fife heard the commotion, and he became angry with me, calling me a jerk, saying that I always do this, and they were tired of it, and that I could take my business else where. I would not recommend this Business due to their contradictions (if I was so undesireable to have as a patient, then why agree to see me?) and their out right unproffessionalism, and name calling. I wanted a price break because they never told me how much it was going to be. The office manager had the nerve to say "we went over what the price was going to be a year ago...", like I was going to remember. They all ganged up on me for simply asking for a discount. I didn't think it was unreasonable, especially because they have a lot of x-rays on file and that they are familiar with my situation. I mentioned the shoddy job Dr Fife did on my root canal (the crown broke 3 or 4 months later) and he said ,"yeah, and I replaced it for free", as if he had done me a favor. The office manager pulled up her screen to show me how they didn't charge me for the few follow up visits after my root canal, as if to convince me that they had in the past given me discounts, etc, etc. My question to you Boise is, if I am such a pain in the rear for these people because I grind them on price all the time (which I don't and is untrue: when they told me how much my root canal was going to be, I didn't demand much, costing me over $2,000.00..), then why did they agree to see me on a day when they were trying to close early? And why does a Dr. call me a Jerk? Boise, spare yourself this kind of abuse and take your business elsewhere. On a side note, my Daughter was owed teeth whitening by Harrison Dental for botching up her Mother's verneer. And while I was getting my filling, my daughter was getting the run around, and they did not honor what was promised to her, instead, they wanted to charge her $10.00 for these little tubes. There were a lot of other neggative things that transpired this afternoon in Harrison Dental, the awful body language, the anger, the contempt, Dr. Fife loosing complete control (over what? Me wanting a little off the bill? Who doesn't these days?), his office Manager awful tone of voice with me, their exaggerations about how much they have done for me in the past......I hate that place. Don't go. Roddy Yazdanpour
