My kids have been going here since it very first opened and i love love love it. All the teachers are exceptionally nice and always super helpful. the receptionist always always greets me and we normally talk for a good amount of time about my kids activities and behavior that day. i feel like the teachers actually care about the well being of both my children instead of just watching them as there job. my daughter who is 3 has learned so much from school. she comes home knowing things that i havent taught her yet. ALL the teachers and SUBS always greet me and help me locate all the kids things. they also all tell my kids bye when we leave i have and would recommend anyone to this daycare. i really feel like the people here love my children and take the very best care of them.

The person who wrote the bad review must have over the top expectations! My children have been going to Sandy's Sandbox for almost a year now. I have never had any problems with any of the people who work there nor have i considered taking them out. As far as the teachers go I feel they are always friendly and greet you with a smile. My kids have nothing but positive things to say. Some days it is like pulling teeth to get them to leave their. The receptionist is always cheerful and is willing to listen to whatever you have to say whether it involves what your child did or what your plans are for the weekend. I can honestly say by giving this daycare a chance you won't be let down and you will be at ease knowing your child just isn't going to a childcare, but is gaining knowledge and getting ready for the days they have ahead in school. Personally I feel that parent was just looking for something to complain about and is what I like to call a scapegoat!

I have an older child who has been in and out of different day cares due to moving, so we are experienced in day care services. I must first give Kudos to my youngest child's designated teacher, she is AWESOME. (my older child no longer needs day care, I mentioned this child to show longevity) However, the rest of the staff leaves much to be desired. If the receptionist is on the phone when you arrive, don't expect her to look at you, much less offer up a hello. If your child's teacher is unavailable, don't expect the sub to befriend you or offer up much chatter. The few times I have had to leave my child with a different teacher, the results have been down right insulting! One sub belittled and lectured me on how to care for my child, right down to how to feed my child and to cutting fingernails (I mentioned to the sub that they were trimmed just a day or two before and she continued to INSIST the fingernails be cut immediately. Upon arriving home, I could not find anything to cut) Another sub teacher made sure to comment on how she felt my child was underdressed and I should have put mittens on my child's hands for the 20 seconds the child would be exposed to the cold from the warm car to the warm day care building...yet another worker was subbing and would not offer up a smile, or return my hello and dragged a chair behind me nearly causing me to trip and then gave me a dirty look as though I was the rude one for being in close proximity...she gave a tortured "sorry" as she glared at me.

Now, the rates are decent, but you definitely get what you pay for. I truly LOVE the usual teacher, but must consider how the situation changes when different teachers take over.
