Pacific Western Bank

Starting in 2011, Pacific Western Bank started charging a $5.00 a day fee if a customer account had less than a specified amount of money in it. I was not notified, but did notice in January 2011 from a statement they sent me, the few dollars I had in my account was wiped out and a negative money value in its place. I went to the bank and asked to close my account. The teller asked for a payment of $24.00 before they would close my account. I didn't have the money at the time (lost my job) and when I returned a few days later to pay the amount I owed, the amount I owed had ballooned to $43.55. I don't see an end to this predatory fee practice stopping until hundreds of dollars are accrued against me by this bank.
