Established in 1973, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a nonprofit health care institution that provides patient care, biomedical research, teaching and community services. The center offers a variety of medical services, such as diabetes treatment, cardiology, podiatric and eye care, pregnancy and pancreatic transplantation services. It also offers several surgical services, including general, cardiovascular, thoracic, gastrointestinal, solid organ transplant and vascular surgeries.
