Kankakee County Training Center, also known as KCTC, serves more than 250 adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1966, the center operates a recycling center, rehabilitation department, vocational workshops and integrated living homes. It is a member of the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facility and is located in Bradley, Ill. The center s rehabilitation program offers classes in cooking, horticulture, health, hygiene and computer applications. Its senior s program offer an array of recreational activities, such as holiday crafts, collages, board games, birthday celebrations and Halloween parties. The center also provides sports programs in basketball, bowling, track and softball. Kankakee County Training Center is funded by the Department of Human Services, grants, fundraisers and donations.
