Pediatric Care
Milton Pediatrics is a private practice that has been serving patients in the Boston area for over 50 years. We have two convenient locations: in Braintree with easy access off I-93 and Route 3, and in downtown Boston near Massachusetts General Hospital and North Station. Primary Care
Most patients choose one doctor from our group to be their “primary care doctor,” however, patients may see any physician from our group, regardless of their insurance plan. Your insurance plan, however, may require that you receive pre-approval from our office before seeing a specialist or obtaining emergency or other medical services outside of our offices. When in doubt, give us a call.
Ear Infections
Far and away, the most common reason for a visit to our office. The good news is ear infections do not always require treatment with antibiotics.
Emergency Care
Calls from patients that are placed after hours are received by Nurse Telephone Triage Service, an independent medical telephone triage company. Nurse Telephone Triage Service is staffed by nurses who are trained to answer emergency calls and who have a detailed manual of information which contains an approved standard approach to urgent care.

Our next Wellness Series event will focus on teaching parents how to help their children cope with well child and other medical visits (coming to the office, eye/ear check, throat cultures, immunizations, etc.). This event is open to all parents of the practice, regardless of the child’s age. It will be on Tuesday, May 7th, from 6:00pm-7:00pm in our office. It will be hosted by Mariah Stevens, MS, CCLS, a child life specialist.

Urinary Tract Infection
UTIs are bacterial infections of the urethra, bladder, ureter and/or kidney. Fever may be the only sign in an infant. In older children typical symptoms include pain during urination, blood in the urine, urinary frequency or urgency or accidents, abdominal pain. Fever, back pain, nausea, vomiting, and lethargy can be signs of more severe infection. Infants with UTI may need to be evaluated for anatomical abnormalities predisposing them to UTI.

Autism
Autism is a complex neurologic disorder associated with developmental delays, particularly in the areas of communication and socialization. It often requires evaluation with a developmental specialist to formally diagnose. If you have concerns about signs of autism in your child we encourage you to discuss them early and often with your primary pediatrician.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Th at Boston Sensory Solutions in Milton for ages 9+. The cost for the 6-week, 45-minute group is $285 and the group meets on Wednesdays. The group will target organizational skills, time management, impulse control, working memory, planning and more! The goal is for participants to leave with concrete strategies for improving their executive functioning. This is a great opportunity for youth who struggle with executive function skills, or experience ADHD related executive function challenges.
Mental Health
The U.S. Surgeon General recently released an important advisory regarding social media and youth mental health. It also includes helpful recommendations on how parents and children can protect against these ill effects (pages 17-18).
Psychiatry
Northeast Health Services – a network of behavioral health centers just opened an office in Quincy. They offer therapy and psychiatry for all ages, children through adult. They are a large network with lots of offices throughout the state. They accept most insurances, including MassHealth.
Behavioral Health
New Harbor Behavioral Health has openings for adolescent intensive outpatient programs (IOP) services. The program accepts insurance and schedules in the after-school hours, allowing patients to continue to attend school. They are in Dedham and serve youth with mental health or substance abuse concerns.
