Kitchen Remodeling
This bathroom was very outdated to say the least and was in desperate need of remodeling. Our customers wanted to add more storage space and reduce the amount of items that constantly stayed on the original countertop. We started by eliminating one sink and adding full length upper cabinets to each side of the new sink. The cabinets allowed the traditional item usually left on the bathroom countertops to be neatly stored away and out of sight. The cabinet doors and wainscoted walls were made to match each other to help complete the custom look. The addition of Blue Pearl granite countertops and porcelain floors completed the bathroom. The final result was an absolutely beautiful bathroom our customers are more than happy to use every day.

Door Installation/Replacement
This exterior renovation was a complete overhaul from top to bottom. This home featured numerous problems, from a leaking roof, siding and windows, improperly installed hurricane windows, poor workmanship for previous contractors, water damage and so on. We completely stripped all roofing and siding down to the bare wood and re-installed all new weatherization systems prior to installing the new roofing and CertainTeed Cedar Impression Siding. All the window throughout the home where removed and reinstalled with the proper flashing and hurricane straps. The ocean front sliding and fixed doors were replaced with new Pella Architect Series Doors with hurricane resistant glass. All of the doors and windows received Azek surrounds. Overall, we completed this project to have a weather tight and maintenance free finish. Now our customers can spend more time on the beach and less time repairing and maintaining their summer home.
Drywalls
This typical builders grade master bathroom truly needed our help. Due to inadequate ventilation and materials used within this bathroom, black mold covered the entire area. We started by removing all materials down to the original framing. To solve the mold problem, we disinfected any mold which remained and replaced all the drywall with moisture resistant drywall. To further help prevent future mold growth, we lowered the existing ceiling, added a high powered exhaust fan to remove moisture created during shower use and applied a high quality mold resistant paint on the walls and ceilings. The result was a bathroom our customer where no longer afraid to use. By using the proper products and installation, this bathroom will be mold free for many years to come.

This completed kitchen was challenging in many ways. The goal was to use the existing space and keep the appliances in the same location, but at the same time give the kitchen a completely new appearance, while improving the functionality of the space. After talking with our customers and combining some ideas, we started by focusing on a large center island to become the focal point of their new kitchen. We relocated the cook top from the existing island and created a new custom designed large center island featuring multiple cabinets for storage, basket slide outs, and an ample amount of overhanging granite for additional seating. The island also boasts an integrated desk and a recessed stool area to create a space for everyday tasks. The large granite top and dark stained cabinetry truly make this island stand out as the main focal point. We also removed the existing interior walls and relocated the fireplace. These changes allowed for the dining room to now become a part of the kitchen to create a large area for family gatherings and permitted the entire room to have unobstructed views of the water through to windows. Once again, by working closely with our customers, we were able to create another amazing kitchen.

After the new home design is completed, Westchester Modular provides in-house architectural and engineering services, included in the price of the home, to review and finalize the new home plans assuring they meet all building codes. Although a local architect may be required for any add-ons not factory built, such as decks or porches, the cost savings is still significant.
