        The New Beginnings Family Academy, founded in 2002, is a public charter school that serves more than 350 students in kindergarten through grade eight in Bridgeport in Connecticut. The academy offers instruction in mathematics, reading, science and social studies. Its campus features a gymnasium, library and cafeteria. The New Beginnings Family Academy also provides guidance counseling, health care and food services. The academy manages a parent-teacher association that works for student welfare. In addition, it operates the Friends of New Beginnings Family Academy, which is a nonprofit organization. The New Beginnings Family Academy additionally offers Positive Young Men and Confident Young Women programs.

        Overall

        New Beginnings Family Academy is not the best choice for parent and/child satisfaction. Some staff members can be very rude at times, and never offer apologies for a parents concern. Tiffany Palmer whom holds no type of degree or certification of any sort, seems to incorrectly abuse the parents. Paul Whyte, the principal.. whom I believe is being let go from the school seems to take the comments and concerns from the parents as a grain of salt. The school teachers are excellent, however I would like to see improvement in the manners of other staff members.
