Overall

We had Dunne Cleaning come out and clean our extremely Soiled, Pet Stained , Kid Stained carpeting and I have to say I was absolutely stunned on how clean they were able to get our beige carpeting. I'm extremely impressed with Dunne Cleaning. The crew was very professional and friendly. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! We will absolutely have them back to clean our carpeting again.

Vacuuming
Vacuum your carpeting frequently. Once or twice a week at a minimum. Vacuuming removes the abrasive soil that can cut and slice the carpet fibers causing premature wear. Most soil is not visible to the eye. Vacuum before the carpet looks soiled. Remove any loose particles such as food, leaves, pieces of crayon, bugs, etc., as these items can cause a spot on the carpet.
Furniture Cleaning

Stain Removal
Spots and stains are worked on while the carpeting is being rinsed. A lot of companies pre-spot meaning they rub spotter on all the stains before they start cleaning. The problem with this method is that spotters loosen stains and if not immediately rinsed out the stains drip into the backing and resurface as the carpet dries. Proper spot removal consists of spotter application and immediate rinsing.
Steam Cleaning
This is difficult to answer because the answer depends on the type of material. All the methods are good but the fabric test will determine the best method for each particular fabric. The methods differ in the amount of wetness used, steam cleaning using the most water - dry cleaning using no water, with dry foam and hand shampooing in the middle. Some fabrics are more water sensitive than others, this will also play a role in determining the method used.
