Teeth Cleaning
Bioclear restorations can stain just like all tooth-colored fillings. Things like smoking, red wine, vaping, tea, and coffee all can contribute to staining. Like all staining, it can be removed at your dental cleaning.
Fluoride Treatment
Teeth may be sensitive during the week following the in-office bleaching. This can be dramatically reduced by using Sensodyne toothpaste to brush your teeth the week before and the week following the bleaching process. Also, your dentist may recommend fluoride treatment following the bleaching process.

Fillings
In the past, Silver or amalgam fillings were extensively used. They are not tooth colored, stain teeth over time, and healthier tooth structures may have to be removed to retain them since they do not bond to your teeth. Also, since they are an alloy of silver with mercury, there is a risk of mercury poisoning. Depending on the extent of decay and amount of tooth structure lost, your dentist may advise composite (tooth-colored fillings) or porcelain inlays or onlays. Since tooth-colored fillings bond to your teeth, there is no need to remove healthy tooth structures.

Crowns
A black triangle is a dark area between your teeth where your gums have moved or receded. There are many reasons why this happens. Gum disease, natural aging process, teeth separation are just to name a few. Once your gums have moved they can’t be put back but it can be fixed. Many dentists would try and put crowns on these teeth, but they have to grind the teeth down making them weaker. I don’t do that. I rejuvenate and strengthen your teeth by adding the filling material around the tooth, filling in the black triangle. This results in a younger healthier simile that patients absolutely love.
Bridges
Crowns and Bridges are usually completed in two appointments. Following anesthesia, the teeth are prepared for a permanent bridge/crown, and an impression is taken. This impression is essential. Your dentist may have to take more than one impression. It dictates the precision of your permanent bridge or crown. Then a temporary bridge/ crown is placed on the teeth for protection. The temporary's size, shape, and color do not resemble the final restoration. A temporary bridge/crown is easily removed; therefore, care must be taken not to dislodge it before your permanent bridge/crown is placed.

If you require more than just a regular cleaning, your Dentist /Hygienist may prescribe a deep cleaning (Scaling and Root Planing). It is usually done in sections. One half of the mouth is cleaned in one session & you will have to come back for the other half. First, the teeth & the gums are anesthetized then the teeth are cleaned using a combination of ultrasonic & hand instruments. It is normal to experience cold & hot sensitivity after the appointment. Your teeth may even be sensitive to chewing. Your gums will be sore and may bleed.

Tooth Extractions
After tooth extraction, a blood clot needs to form to stop the bleeding and begin the healing process. We ask you to bite on a gauze pad for 30-45 minutes after the appointment. You may have to do this several times. If bleeding persists, munching on a moist tea bag wrapped in gauze may help control the oozing from the surgical site. Tea has an ingredient that promotes blood clotting.

We offer a take home DIY Zoom Whitening System, which consists of taking impressions of your teeth, followed by fabricating custom bleaching trays that precisely fit your teeth. You apply the Zoom whitening gel to the inside of the trays and place the trays on your teeth for 15 minutes, twice a day, for 7-10 days. You will achieve noticeably whiter teeth.
