Located in Bronx, N.Y., Winifred Wheeler Nursery School works in partnership with East Side House Settlement, which offers various early childhood, adult education and after-school programs. Founded in 1891, it employs full- and part-time teachers, social workers and other experts who serve over 8,000 residents from more than 10 locations throughout New York. East Side House Settlement s after-school and evening programs serve approximately 1,700 children between the ages of 2 and 17.
