I went in there with my cat si...

I went in there with my cat since i didn't have any regular vet and it was open on sunday,. There was a female vet, i told her that the cat has been vomiting and lost his appetite. She took an x-ray and said that there is something in his intestine and rushed us to VERG because the cat will need surgery. I went there with that x-ray and they said that it looks normal and there is nothing there. Just to make sure they took one more x-ray which didn't show anything. They advised me to find another vet and do blood work . I found another vet in brooklyn who did the test but before he even had a results he told me right away that the cat has food allergy and all i have to do is to change his diet!! The female vet at bensonhurst clinic didn't even ask what kind of food he eats!!! She was rough with the cat and was not patient. Like somebody else said it is dirty in there and i would never again go back there nor would i recommend it to anyone. If you can look for another clinic

Overall
NOT the vet on Bath Avenue (Star added because you HAVE to post 1)

Has no right to treat dogs. Took my dogs blood and jabbed the poor thing terribly for very little blood to test. Told us to wean the dog off of the phenobarbital he had taken for years for seizures. We did so and lost the poor dog to a horrific death. Does house calls?? Didnt for the animal his advice killed.

He may be a good vet for birds, but you might as well just shoot your dog before you take it to this guy for care.

Waiting room looks nice, vet and his assistant are nice, obviously quality of care is far below standard or even good logic by the standards of other vets.

Holding cages are filthy.

IF he is good with birds he should stick to what he knows, and send dog owners to vets who know what they are doing.

30 years of experience?? At what? Killing dogs? No one needs dont need to spend a fortune to watch their dog die. I will never forgive him.

Overall
incompetent & unprofessional

Well, this vet didn't kill my pet but he was a waste of my time and money. He couldn't diagnost properly the problem of my dog onto 2 occasions but kept pushing same expensive medication that didn't work both times. I hate incompetent & unprofessional people expecting good pay for their so called help. Hey doc, maybe you should quit trying cure poor animals, I'll give a job at my trucking company as a dipatcher, this way you won't hurt anybody. Deal, doc?

P.S. the place did look like a dump indeed.

Overall
Dirty !!

1. When you first walk in... all you see is the roaches inside the lights... The dogs there are super cute but they peed on chairs and the lady in the front desk looked at it and said shell clean it later...

2. The doc and his aid was super friendly but the lady in the front desk was a total mess. She didnt explain the payment and made a fuss when i wanted to pay with my credit card.
