General Info: Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. (MFCS) is a Community Action Agency dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families in their effort to gain employment, earn a livable wage and live independent, economically stable lives throughout their lifetime. We offer an array of programs and services including Head Start and Pre-K for children, energy assistance, family self-sufficiency, Meals on Wheels, respite and other supportive services for seniors, transportation for disadvantaged populations, home weatherization to promote energy efficiency, and support services for abused and neglected children. This year, MFCS is celebrating 48 years of service to Hernando, Pasco, Citrus, Sumter, Lake and Volusia counties.
