Dr. J. Melvin Deese, Dr. Michael J. Sullivan, Dr. Denny A. Carter, Dr. Buck Cavalier, and Dr. Beau Sasser are board certified/board eligible Orthopaedic Surgeons at Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery. Specialties include upper extremity (the hand and shoulder), lower extremity (the foot, ankle, and knee) and spine. They treat all musco-skeletal problems including cartilage injuries, torn ligaments, and broken bones. Summit also has a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor on staff. Dr. Katherine Maurath specializes in non-surgical Orthopaedic problems, especially of the spine and neck. Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery is a strategic affiliate of Southeast Georgia Health System.
