Established in 1955, Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. The organization provides human resources, residential development and fiscal services. It also offers day programming, residential, clinical, recreational, supportive, and employment and training services for more than 800 families annually. Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara provides individualized day programming for adults with severe or multiple developmental disabilities and health-related needs. The organization offers training in independent living and prevocational skills and assistance with personal hygiene. It also provides speech pathology and language stimulation programs. Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara offers social and physically oriented community-based activities for youths and adults. The organization s recreational activities include excursions, sporting events, concerts, bowling, dinner and dances. Its residential services include intermediate care facilities and supportive and supervised individual residential alternatives.
