Established in 1961, Burlington Housing Authority is Vermont s municipally based housing authority. Based in Burlington, Vt., the agency provides housing facility to individuals and families in the city of Burlington and surrounding communities. It manages over 600 apartments for income-eligible households for seniors and with disabilities. Its amenities include discounted cable TV, laundry facility, health service, community room, kitchen, playgrounds and others. Burlington Housing Authority provides rental assistance programs like Shelter Plus Care, Housing Opportunity for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) program, Mortgage Assistance Program, Senior and Disabled Wellness Program and others.
