SOS Security Systems, Inc was founded in 1979 by Phil and Peggy Smida. SOS has a solid background in security systems, and draws heavily on the fifteen-year law enforcement career of the founder, Phil Smida. His experience in burglary investigation permits SOS to pinpoint potential weak points in a system and suggest the most cost effective solution. Along with his wife, Peggy, who also has a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, they have built a trusted name in the security business.
