BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!



I hired Artistic Wedding Photos for my fall 2009 wedding; from the start it was clear that I wanted a photoshoot park with lots of trees; they agreed to this and suggested a park which they supposedly "shoot at all the time." Well, they neglected to tell me I should reserve this park, and when my wedding came, and we were not able to use the park, they blamed me and said they were not liable. I am not a professional photographer; how am I supposed to know to reserve a park THEY suggested and "shoot at all teh time"? They are the pros who know all the park restrictions and rules regarding use; not me! I even paid $145 for an extra hour to use at this park, but instead, the photographer ended up taking us to a "castle" nearby; it was really a cemetery! Yuck! So instead of an hour at a nice park, to which they even agreed, we got 15 minutes at a cemetery. The photos turned out poorly; they are very amateur-looking. Ninety-nine of the 290 are awful--- bad angles, poor lighting, random stuff in the background. Unacceptable from a "professional."



What's worse is that when I called and emailed to say we were disappointed and would like a face-to-face meeting, Nicole, one of the owners, blew me off twice. Finally she called me back after I called her out on her unprofessionalism, but she only left me a nasty voice message saying how she and her photographer were not liable for the mix up at the park. When I finally did get my face to face meeting, she behaved like a pyschopath! I presented her with a typed up note sheet with bulleted points regarding the day's events, a narrative version of the day's events, the schedule she had prepared herself, a list of awful photos,and various emails and other financial documents, she told me she didn't care about any of my papers; she wouldn't even look at them! She told me that if I should just take her to court if I'm so disatisfied; when I pleaded with her to just listen to my side about what happened, she flipped out. She told me again that she didn't care and to get out! She was kicking me out after 5 minutes and I hadn't even had a chance to explain why we were so dissatisfied! I told her that I spent time compling the notes and documents in the folder, and that as a business owner, it's her job to listen to her customers. She told me she didn't give a f-word about my papers or photo shoot. Yes, she really said the f-word to me! I asked her where Ben, another owner who was supposed to be present at our meeting was, and she cackled crazily and said "you're not talking to him! You're going to meet with me." She looked very wild-eyed and crazy. Eventually, the police were called because she wouldn't give back the orginal copies of my documents; she wasn'r running from me around the room and wouldn't hand them over; I think she was planning to shred them to keep me from using them in court against her.



Overall, a horrible experience. I can't believe she wouldn't even meet with me at our meeting she agrred to. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

We asked them to amend the contract to what was verbally expressed and they cancelled on us without even calling! We were only asking them to write down what they had promised us and they wouldn't. Be careful. Look over contract and decide for yourself! On the up side Nicole is a charming lady and I would have liked her for a photographer if they would have sat down with us to discuss a mutually beneficial contract instead of cancelling. Real contracts benfit both parties!
