General Info: Canton Academy is a college preparatory school serving the educational needs of more than 300 students in prekindergarten through grade 12. Founded in 1965, the school s curriculum includes religious studies, English, language arts, social studies, science, mathematics, computer science and technology education. The academy provides advanced placement courses in literature, speech, Spanish, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, physical science and biology. It also offers classes in driver s education, economics, keyboarding, and career development and education. The school offers a resource program for students with learning disabilities. Its library has a large collection of books on various topics, and other audiovisual reference materials. The school offers various sports programs and extracurricular activities, such as field trips, band, chorus, and yearbook. Canton Academy is fully accredited by the Mississippi Private School Association, and is located in Canton, Miss.
