General Info: Established in 1919, The American Legion is a patriotic veteran s organization, serving veterans, service members and communities. The Alabama-based legion is the nation s one of the leading veterans service organization that sponsors youth programs in the communities, support patriotism and honor, promotes national security to service members and veterans. It has the historical archives and library, the National Executive Committee room, art gallery, museum, finance operations, editorial offices for The American Legion Magazine, Dispatch and Online Update, as well as offices for internal affairs, Americanism, children and youth, public relations, and convention and meetings.
