Asaturian Eaton & Associates P.CAsaturian, Eaton and Associates, P.C., Engineering and Land Surveying, was founded in 1982 in Carbondale and is a multi-disciplined Consulting Engineering firm experienced in and offering services in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering as well as all facets of Land Surveying. The firm is also prequalified by the State of Illinois Capital Development Board to offer services in all of the above engineering and surveying fields. The firm offers engineering and land surveying services for commercial, industrial, municipal, governmental, and institutional clients throughout southern Illinois. The founding partners, Armen Asaturian, P.E., President, and Robert Eaton, P.L.S., Vice President, were both previously associates with another consulting firm and have worked together since 1978.Asaturian, Eaton and Associates provides comprehensive engineering services including preliminary studies and conceptual planning, boundary and topographic surveys, preparation of cost estimates, complete construction drawings and specifications, construction layout and staking, construction inspection, and general project management. The firm's in-house land surveying capabilities are particularly helpful in providing timely and detailed pre-design boundary and topographic surveys as well as coordinated construction layout staking and elevation control. The firm is frequently retained by numerous construction firms to provide the required construction surveying and staking for complex road and site developments, parking lots, drainage systems, and utilities and infrastructure projects.A significant amount of the firm's practice includes routinely working with Architectural firms in southern Illinois and St. Louis in providing comprehensive engineering services for building plumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire protection systems as well as the associated surveying and civil engineering services for site plan development, roads and parking, drainage and storm water systems, water and sewer systems, as well as site utility systems. The firm has experienced personnel with architectural training who can communicate effectively with project Architects and help with the careful coordination of site, civil, mechanical, and electrical aspects of the design with the architectural and structural elements of buildings.As a well established area engineering firm, with personnel who are long-time residents of the southern Illinois area, Asaturian, Eaton and Associates, P.C. has established an excellent working relationship with local governments, Illinois Department of Transportation, all area utility companies, Illinois Department of Public Health, State Fire Marshal's office, and the Environmental Protection Agency, and has an in-depth working knowledge of their procedures and requirements.
