Fluoride Treatment
As your child gets older, we may recommend additional services for them such as fluoride treatments and dental sealants. These treatments are designed to build small teeth and protect them from tooth decay and cavities. If your child chooses to participate in sports, we’re happy to help with the right protective wear for their mouth and teeth. Almost half of dental emergencies are caused by sports injuries.
Dental Sealants
Preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health and disease care. We strive on educating our patients as well as focusing on thorough exams checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, ensuring proper joint health, and taking digital x-rays. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease.

Fillings
Resin Composite
The enamel of your teeth will be etched to help with adhesion. Next, an adhesive glue will be applied to help the composite resin material stick to your teeth. Lastly, very thin layers of the composite material are added to the surface of your teeth.
Veneers
Composite veneers can correct alignment issues, discolorations, chips or misshapen teeth. One benefit of the composite veneers is that they typically can be completed in one visit after the initial consultation visit. They are directly placed on the teeth by Dr. Fleming while you sit back and relax.
Crowns

Bridges
Dental bridges are a type of fixed (non-removable) restoration. They are most commonly used to replace one or two missing teeth, and are usually anchored to the teeth on either side of the gap with crowns. Bridges may also be anchored in place with an implant. Bridges work to restore your smile, bite and oral function.

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal therapy is needed when the pulp tissue (nerve, vascular, lymph tissue) of a tooth is affected by decay, infection, or trauma. A denture is a removable dental appliance replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile. Dentures are very durable appliances and will last many years, but may have to be remade, repaired, or readjusted due to normal wear.

Dental Implants
Once in place, they can allow a patient to regain chewing function, and restore the natural form of the dental arch. Bone levels can be maintained with an implant in place instead of being lost due to the tooth being absent. Adequate bone density and detailed home care of the implants are necessary to ensure that they will function properly and last a long time.

Before your oral surgery is performed, x-rays will often be taken to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. A step-by-step explanation of the procedure along with your anesthesia options will be discussed, and you should feel free to ask any questions you have.
Tooth Extractions
Dr. Fleming can determine if a tooth can be restored or if it needs to be replaced with an implant or some other form of restoration. With anesthesia, a gentle touch and lots of attention, we will provide a worry-free experience for all of our patients. If a tooth extraction is necessary, Dr. Fleming will provide all the necessary instructions for proper care and to help promote healing and optimal oral health after a patient’s procedure.
