1st off, he only uses templates that he chooses, and after many times trying to tell him we needed things set up differently, he argued saying the template wasn't designed to do that and it would take too much work to change it. After spending hours at a time trying to tell him things that were wrong and needed to be fixed and after him "not being able to" fix them, i had to focus my attention on other projects. The point of hiring someone to do our website was to free up my own time, not take up more of it. He started getting upset that we had not completed the project yet because he wanted the remainder of the money (we paid half up front) when literally all he had done so far was upload a template from a website and put our logo on it. Everything else still was blank and even had the lorem ipsum words all over it, and he refused to do the work i was requesting on it because it was "too hard". Finally, I was able to hire someone who could spend the time with him, repeating everything I had told him before. He put up a big fuss with her as well, but finally made the changes that needed to be done after many many hours of arguing over every little detail with our new employee and telling her the way we wanted it wouldn't look good and ignoring our requests. At the end, he refused a check, wanting payment through paypal. Our company requires things to go through our accounts payable department so they can send a check. This caused an argument too.
