charges $60/hour

Ask up front about her rates. She charges $60/hour for any travel time to your home, time spent in your home and for drawings. You get very little for the price she charges. Save your money and go to Home Depot, they'll draw up a design for FREE.

Bathroom Remodeling
I have a fabulously beautiful kitchen and bath thanks to Monica at 929 Design. Even before we had closed on this house, Monica provided us with a preliminary design and cost quote. This made us feel more comfortable in making the purchase knowing we would be undertaking a major remodel. Monica completely gutted the kitchen and bath, redoing the design to one that fit our needs and looked beautiful. With the exception of one, I was very happy with the subcontractors she had on site. All were conscientious and neat. We had a strict budget and tight deadline, and both were adhered to. The custom cabinets Monica supplied in our kitchen are exceptional. I wanted a place for my specialty tools, and pull outs and drawers for ease of use. I got more than I even knew I needed. Monica was easy to work with and available to me when needed. We could not have been able to undertake this project without Monica.
Flooring
We had a wonderful experience remodeling our kitchen with 929 Design. From start to finish, Monica helped us define what we wanted, mapped out the changes needed, presented options (and then more options when we made a change to our flooring choice), and set us up with a great contractor since this was one of our first big home projects. We wanted to work with existing upper cabinets that give our old house character, and Monica brought all of that together with new lowers, hardware, gorgeous quartz counters and paint ideas to create a beautiful, unique space for us.
Drywalls
Monica thought of everything when it came to the remodel of my bathroom. The house was built in 1900 and the addition of the bathroom, kitchen, master bedroom etc was in 1970 ish. The bathroom was big to begin with, but it was not as functional as I would like. I had lofty ideas, but I am on a very strict budget and she definitely kept me in check. The main goals were to have two sinks, insert a wall at the end of the bathtub so it could be enclosed, to have modern things like drywall, paint, tile floor, electrical and lighting updated. With the right contractor, she was even able to get me my goal of a pocket door, so that when you are in the tub, you don't feel closed in. I couldn't have done this without Monica, she hit the ground running during our initial consultation and we ended up picking out tile and other necessities that day!!!!! She's made great decisions for me, especially when I didn't have strong feeling on certain fixtures.

My husband and I have collaborated on many projects over the years with Monica/929 Design. She is razor sharp, cutting edge with her designs and uber professional. My husband is a woodworker/contractor and he can dream some really crazy, over the top stuff. Monica can pull it from his brain and lay it down in a design and make it beautiful, practical and functional. Her work is easy to understand, estimate and build from. We have worked with her on everything from new construction to historical renovations. She is top notch at what she does and I look forward to working with her on every project.
