Established in 1974, the Spalding Recreation Center has a park, skating rink and swimming pool. Its park features shelters, picnic and playground areas and trails. Its skating rink is spread over an area of more than 18,000 square feet with bowls, as well as snake run and street course. The center s pool features a shallow area and diving boards above a more than 10-foot-deep diving well. It also has a wading pool for children and offers various membership packages. The center provides facilities on a rental basis for concerts, fundraising events, and organizational and private group meetings. The Spalding Recreation Center is a part of the Champaign Park District and is located in Champaign, Ill.
