Electra Auto Sales

DO NOT buy from here unless you are truly desperate. They have the worst customer service and they are a big RIP OFF! They make you pay all these ridiculous fees up front and once they get you into the car, they harrass you with repossession. They will place your car out for repo after the 7th day that it's late, and refuse to work with you. Doesn't matter if you typically pay on time or not. I hate that I ever decided to do business with them.

purchased my very 1st car from a buy here pay here in North Carolina doing business as Electra Auto Sales.



Iam a single mother with 2 children ages 3 and 10 and they sold me the  vehicle in the worse condition...bare tires, bad breaks, broken seatbelt and mold inside the car.



Electra Auto sales runs a shady business, they never gave.me a contract or told me which bank I have the loan with and they make up policies that were never disclosed on a document.



For example, after 7  days late on your ur payment they come reposes the vehicle. Also, they charge $5 for each day you are late on top of a automatic $35 late fee.



I was one day late with my payment and they took.my car without warning  or a phone call , then made.me pay 2 advance payments which they put at the end of my loan, charged.me 400 for repo fees  150 for a private investigator that I knew nothing about plus the payment I was behind on  including late fees a total of 1500 to get my car.back. when they towed the car they left me and two boys out in the cold because they took.while we were in Target doing groceries.



They charge customers 100 for tags, that.have to be.picked up.from their location. On March 6th I spoke with the dealerships manager and told him I was on my to make  the  payment, he  responded ok and asked me to put  the money order in a broken mail box in case I arrived after hours, Yesterday, March 7th my car was repoed anyway, now they are refusing to accept the payment I was.prepared to make and they are charging me 400 for repo fee, 150 for the investigator in addition to the payment due and they are requiring me to pay the remaining balance on the loan a total of 1,566.00 within 10 days or I loose the car, when I was only 3 payments  away from owning the car. 



I am a single mother,  recently lost my job, got evicted and now lost my car to Electra Auto Sales shady policies.



The owner Francis, is never at the office, but calls all the shots over the phone.  When I went to purchase with them, they didn't even respect that my children were with.me and had the audacity to smoke cigarettes inside the office while we were sitting there.



This.place is horrible to their costomers and their operation is shady and should be shut down.

I bought a car from here a few years back and it was a horrible experience. The car was in that great of running condition. Recently, I inquired about an SUV on their lot. I offered a good amount of downpayment at $8k. And asked what's the longest term of payments I could do. They first offered me $560 every two weeks for 24 months. After asking a longer payment term, they told me $400 every two week for 42 months. Now, these folks apparantly think I'm a complete moron if they are going to almost double the payment term but only cut $300. I understand the whole rates and what not but seriously? It rings up to $42k after all payments are completed! For a really small dealership, it's a complete rip off. Pretty certain they do not maintain their vehicles either. I can certainly find the same car, at another lot AND have money to buy another car for the full price they're trying to charge me. Oh, by the way, their late fee is ridiculous. Avoid this dealership unless you want to be scammed.

These people will sell you a car, then illegally repossess it. It doesn't matter if you have all your legal documents. And the police can't do anything because it's a civil matter. DO NOT GO HERE FOR A CAR!!!PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!

My sister and I both brought vehicles from this dealership. Terrible experience, my car has been giving me problems since I brought it and my sister is not able to drive hers.

Worst Car experience ever. The overcharged late fees the car is a piece a crap made payment arragements with the company and they still repoed it the day I was suppose to pay. When you come in to make your payment you are bombarded with a smoke smell from cigars. I would not advise anyone in there right mind to spend a dime with this company.

I just bought a vehicle from this company and it is sitting in my parking lot not drivable at all...The only thing the owner would say is that you bought it as is...Worst experience of my life..I put all the money I had into getting a reliable drivable car and Im catching the bus right now...This company is unprofessional and does not care about anthing but getting your money...So this is a warning to those who dont want to throw their money away...DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

On the contrary, Electra Auto Sales is a very good car lot. They have helped me and many that I know a lot. They do whatever in their power to work with you and get you in a car that will suit your needs and make you happy. It is a family owned and run business, there are children, especially during the summer. The children have been raised in the business and know everything about the vehicles, prices, under the hood, and diagnostics of almost any and every car. I will continue to use this business for my car buying needs as long as they are open. When I walk in, I am greeted with big smiles and friendly conversations. Their prices are manageable and there are a wide variety of prices as well for all people to meet your needs

I purchased a supposibly great 97' honda accord and it overheated the first day i drove it. All 4 tires were dry rotted, and the only excuse they gave me is "the car is a repo, someone else had it."



These people will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to make a quick sale, they were supposed to be fixing my honda less than 2 months after i first got it, and now they're trying to add the charges to my monthly bill.



Francis, the owner, is a very conniving man, he wants to make a sell despite the cars condition. If you want your moneys worth DONT STOP HERE!

I recently stopped into Electra Auto to take a look at a vehicle on the lot. The first red flag surfaced when I encountered a very foul mouthed male child under 12 years of age cursing at his younger brother and attempting to show me around the car lot. I believe in teaching your children the family business, but seriously, the adult should have come out to accompany me on the lot and answer my questions with more than an "Jeez ,I don't know lady".

The owner sat behind the desk and mimicked Tnoy Montana with his manerisms and never gave a better response than his kid. When I inquired about the mileage on the vehicle he replied "Doesn't matter it's in good shape. All my cars in good shape. Anyway it's as is. I not gonna put another dime in another thing!" Needless to say I did not buy from ELECTRA and I suggest that you don't either.
