Mike's Auto Repair & Service

I went to Mike's because I was looking at buying an old jeep from someone nearby. Because my knowledge of all things automotive is fairly limited, I took the Jeep to Mike's for a pre-purchase inspection to make sure that the car wasn't going to fall apart as soon as I drove off. Mike and his staff had the Jeep up on a lift in 5 minutes, showed me some things to be careful of and ultimately saved me in the neighborhood of a couple grand by advising me not to buy the Jeep...and all this for $32. Absolutley awesome, I can't say enough good things about Mike and his staff.

You might miss Mike's Auto Repair and Service if you weren't looking for it. I needed new back tires for my truck and a friend recommended Mike's. When I walked in, three men were sitting at their desks with smiles on, waiting to hear what I had to say. Being an eighteen year old female I generally do not get taken seriously when it comes to this type of thing, but Mike and his staff were friendly and cordial and generally interested in my needs. Mike and I talked about what size tires I needed, and he went to assess the situation. Mike rotated, balanced and sold me two used tires in excellent condition for only sixty dollars (which is an exceptional price). After he had finished fixing my truck up for me, he came back in to tell me that my right front ball joint was bad. Actually, according to him it was beyond bad, but would hold up until I could replace it. He explained that the pressure that is constantly applied to it would hold it together. After reassuring me that it would not give out and send me over the Bay Bridge, he advised that I replace it as soon as I was able to. He didn't push for me to return to his shop to have it repaired, but he didn't need to. I know that I'll be a returning customer for any auto trouble I may have in the future. I'd recommend Mike's to anyone no matter the issue. His friendly demeanor and warm personality makes me feel like he is someone I can trust with something as important as my truck. I also appreciated the fact that he could professionally present advice and give his opinion without ever coming across as being condescending. I was very impressed with my entire experience at Mike's Auto Repair and Service.
