Lindstrom & McKenney

I had a similar experience to Humphrey11. I took in some very nice and expensive gold and diamonds pieces. No matter how many diamonds each piece had, and one was a designer piece with many high quality stones, they offered me no money for the diamonds and only half of what the gold was worth. They surely are not the highest payers in the Saint Louis area. The Channel 4 or 5 news showed almost all pawnshops paying more than Lindstrom & McKinney. Their suite may look very nice and high-end, but they're offers aren't.

They are experts in their field. Very astute technically. This group understands the complexities behind parting with family pieces that have been passed down through generations. Most business are really just focused on paying the most amount for scrap bullion. These guys are all about fairness for everyone involved. They accurately identify better pieces and pay premiums well over bullion prices. Thats what they did for me when I brought in my family heirlooms. Don't sell anywhere else until you run your things by this company.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LINDSTROM & MCKENNEY....Lindstrom & McKenney basically stole money from us when they paid us just $13 per Morgan Silver Dollar we brought in for appraisal on July 27, 2011 - we had 8 or 9 of them. When I questioned the appraiser about the value being lower than what we expected - around $32 - $34 each, we were told that because U.S. coins could not be melted they were not worth the bullion value. They also bought several pieces of gold vintage jewelry from us and considering how we were mislead and grossly underpaid for the silver, I'm sure we were underpaid for the gold as well. I understand that a business has to make money, but they paid us less than half of the value of the silver dollars! We discovered this when we brought our foreign coins and two additional Morgan silver dollars, of the same year and quality, to Scotsman Coin on Olive Blvd where we were paid the full bullion value of $32 each. When I called Lindstrom & McKenney to discuss the issue and tell them we felt we were mislead, they of course did not agree. I was told a few different things such as they have overhead (i.e. the office is well furnished and cozy, they offer water and coffee, etc...), we were never forced to sell items to them, we seemed happy about the sale when we left... etc... Of course we were happy at the time, we thought the APPRAISAL company that EVALUATED our items was telling us the true value of them, not the discounted price they wanted to buy them for. During all this, we also found that many of the coins purchased by Lindstrom & McKenney are subsequently sold to Scotsman Coin for the full value, which in our case means over a 100 percent profit on each coin for Lindstrom & McKenney! In my opinion, Lindstrom & McKenney are thieves who have no qualms about misleading trusting customers in order to line their pockets. BEWARE!

My father recently died and left us a lot of gold coins. We had no idea what they were worth. Lindstrom & McKenney told us which ones were only worth the gold and which ones were collectible. When we decided to sell some of them they gave us a great price and were very easy to work with. Highly recommend using them for any type of gold, silver, collectibles etc.
