Self-Performed Work: A comprehensive renovation of 24 military barracks, originally constructed in the 1940’s included framing, complete electrical, concrete, finish carpentry, installation of all doors and hardware and interior finishes.

Self-Performed Work: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to construct exterior hardscape and landscape that includes selective demolition, grading, irrigation, planting, artificial turf, lighting, emergency phone, electrical and concretework.

Landscaping
. Newton Construction performed site concrete, including sidewalks & driveways, rough grading & final earthwork around completed buildings prior to landscaping, general labor, and finish carpentry. We are proud to highlight the project’s integration of sustainable building practices, with the development targeting LEED Gold certification, demonstrating Newton's commitment to environmental responsibility while delivering high-quality housing for the UCSB community.

Excavation
Self-Performed Work: Newton’s team handled all excavation and site grading, structural and site concrete work for the project. In addition, all electrical and carpendery was handled in-house.

Walkways
Self-Performed Work: This award-winning playground provides a refreshing open space amidst the densely populated area of apartments, houses, and commercial buildings. The work included site concrete, stamped concrete and walkways, the installation of a prefabricated restroom, and playground surfacing.

Carpentry
Self-Performed Work: This multi-bid, all-encompassing project included complete grading, concrete reinforcement, and cast-in-place concrete. All interior finishes, complete electrical, rough and finish carpentry, and elevators.
Electrical Work
Self-Performed Work: The apparatus bay was designed to accommodate a range of maintenance tasks, ensuring that firefighting equipment is prepared for emergencies such as wildfires and other natural disasters. The self-performed work included construction of the pad, excavating and grading of the site, structural and site concrete work, comprehensive electrical work, and applying interior finishes.
