Overall

My wife recently called Toms Cabinets to get a home estimate for kitchen cabinets. My wife talked to a woman who stated I don t mean to pry, but are you married? Because tom prefers to do business with the man of the house We had a pretty good laugh after that, but went ahead and scheduled the home consultation anyway. Tom showed up, was pleasant, and took some measurements. He stated he would call us back next week with the estimate. This was on a Thursday, I expected his call on Monday or maybe even Tuesday. No response from him on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. I called him Thursday afternoon to see why he hadn t called and he told me he was on a job and he d call me back that night. No call on Thursday night or all day Friday. Tom may or may not do good work. He may or may not be inexpensive. I ll never know, because Tom wasn t considerate enough to tell me anything. Tom is on Toms time. If you don t have time to take the job, or if it s too small of a project, or if you don t like the person that s paying you for the job - no problem. At least have the common courtesy to call/email/text that you have to decline the job. Don t waste my time waiting for your call. After so many years in the business, you think he d know that. Maybe he was mad my wife didn t curtsy at the door and hand him a Tom Collins when he walked into the house.
