General Info: Hildreth's Commercial Laundry Equipment is located in Columbus, Ohio, and has been family owned and operated for a 60 years. Operating as a Maytag Commercial Laundry distributor, Hildreth's has the franchise to sell commercial laundry equipment to laundromats in 30 counties in West Virginia and over 50 counties in Ohio. Currently, Hildreth's occupies 33, 000 square feet of office and warehouse space adjacent to the State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio. Worked for the Good Housekeeping Shop of Columbus for 20 years as a service manager. A skilled electrician and plumber, he serviced all household applicances. In 1945, he left the Good Housekeeping Shop to start his own appliance business in Dublin. In 1949, he relocated his business to Columbus, and became an Authorized Factory Service representative for Maytag Company. In the early 1950's, Hildreth's became a Maytag Parts Distributor, followed by a Maytag Route Operator in the Late 50's. ED HILDRETH In 1956, Ed Hildreth became an employee, working in all facets of the business. In this same year, the business was moved to a larger facility at 29 E. Fifth Avenue, in Columbus. In 1978, Hildreth's moved to a much larger facility located at 995 N. 4th Street in Columbus.
