- Prestwould Plantation Manor House was built in 1790 and occupied 1794. At that time it was the largest dwelling in Virginia. House has approximately 80% of its original furnishings. We were able to tour the home along with a guide that was able to tell us all about the home and lots of the furnishings. We were also able to check out all the other buildings on the property.
