The owner is always ill tempered. Try to ask a question and he snaps.
He blames his employees to keep blame off of his family. (Family runs the business)

Provided by SuperpagesI am a Machinist of 33+ Years, (Manual, & Cnc), and I was an Aircraft Mechanic in the Military.I worked at this shop for a very short time. The other review that you read here, could not be further from the truth.I can say that this machine shop, is kept very clean, with the exception of the office area, where it looks like a filing cabinet exploded. The machines are clean only, NOT maintained, or ever serviced. These CNC machines are Decades old, and constantly have numerous problems. The "Programmer" there, the only one working there, does not care about the machines at all. When I was starting to run a machine part, on the CNC, & after 1st Article, the "Programmer" there said they're ready to run, and these parts are good. I checked every single part coming off that machine, and they were NOT on size, even though I was told "They're good to run". After looking at his machine & setup, I found Several problems. There was NO way oil in the reservoir, there was NO Hydraulic fluid in the machine, and the machine was 20 gallons low on coolant. When I watched the machine cycle through a part, I noticed that none of the coolant nozzles were on the cutters, or part being machined. At that time, The owner comes up to me, & chews me out for running parts with a poor finish. I've been chasing that exact problem, as well as the size. I got blamed for his only employees MISTAKES (Plural). I kept my mouth shut, after all it was a new job. The boss (Owner) consistently had a very poor attitude, very angry, and disrespectful towards his employees; He also employs a couple of people Under the Table there. (Off the Books) On the Manual mills, you cannot trust the Gaging, or the X/Y axis on that machine. (This is the Nice machine) The D.R.O. constantly goes out, or moves Several Thousandths of an inch. Way out of the stated Tolerances listed on the Blueprint. I showed the boss these parts that did NOT pass, and he told me not to worry about it. I am also a Quality Technician, and I KNOW what will work in machining. These parts did not pass, plain & simple. Now its the customer getting an expensive part, that will not work. Yes, he did ship those parts to the customer. The customer DID send them back, like I knew he would.A Great shop to look at is Meadowbrook Machine & Tool, in Estanollee, Ga. They have been in business for Decades, they are constantly growing, The shop is immaculate, climate controlled, and the people there are Sharp & Friendly. The machines there are new, clean, & maintained. They are also ISO approved. The machine work there can be trusted to the Millionths of a inch. Don't waste your Hard Earned Money at Phoenix Machines. Their Business cards aren't even printed straight. If they don't care about a card that represents their business, that should tell you about the Quality of their machines, and the work coming from that shop. I would give this shop a "NO Stars" if I could.

This person is a disgruntled employee I was there when he was terminated he started screaming and yelling and owners threatened him to call the police to get him removed off the property. It is a great place to work I have been there since 06 and have had no problems with anyone.

Provided by SuperpagesThis shop offers it all. Never seen one with so many capabilities. Have programmers, CNC, and manual machines, and much more you usually do not find in many shops. Capable of doing large or small jobs, large runs, or just l pscs. Their prices are extremely reasonable; they know what a Machine shop is all about. Their items are pristine when completed. They are extremely good at making deadlines, and rush jobs. Youll surprise yourself. They have saved my company hundreds of thousands each year. Other shops we have used pale in comparison to this one. I highly recommend that you try this shop before any other.
