        A. Garber Upholstery Alexander founded A. Garber Upholstery in 1993, operating out of a small basement. Over the next seven years the demand for his services soared, creating the need for more space. In 2001, A. Garber Upholstery acquired J. Blank & Company, which had over thirty years of experience in the upholstery market in Cleveland. The merged companies created one of the largest and fastest expanding upholstery shops in the Cleveland area. After the purchase of J. Blank & Company, A. Garber Upholstery moved into a studio in Cleveland Heights. The market for upholstery goods has seen a steady growth and A. Garber Upholstery has proven to be one of the top companies in the Cleveland area. As the company grows it has launched several new series including allowing customer to build custom furniture. A simple drawing or an image can be brought to life. About Alexander Garber First began his study of upholstery in one of the most renowned Upholstery Shops in Moldova. There he was taught a variety of methods that have been used for hundreds of years in the furniture business by a master Italian upholsterer. As a result, his knowledge extends to his ability to work with various antique, traditional, modern, and contemporary furniture designs. In 1991, Alex moved to the United States in hopes of carrying on the tradition taught to him in Moldova by starting his own upholstery studio.

        I asked repeatedly for overstuffed cushions, even providing a photo from a decorator magazine, and did not get them. I was also charged a penalty of 160.00 for buying fabric at Joann's on sale. Several other disappointments. Bottom line, get quote in writing right away because it may change and don't buy fabric elsewhere.(I had no idea that was such a big deal). Honestly, I wish I had put this sofa on the curb and purchased a new one. For the money I spent I could have gotten something really nice and had it delivered. Pick up was never offered but delivery was offered for 80.00. Also no arm covers. I would never do this again. But I do have to say the sewing is very professional.
