BEWARE: Simon's significantly over charges for parts and will not allow someone to bring there own. They wanted to charge 87$ for an oil pan on a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse. I could not find one online for more than 30$ with most around 20$. Called the local dealership and they asked 52$.
Save money and go to the dealership, or save even more money and go to a HONEST independent shop.

C & T has always been there for us to solve those quirky problems and of course for general vehicle maintenance and repair..
I can't imagine what I would do if they weren't around.
Sure there are going to be problems that aren't solved on the first service visit but these have been few and far between and are to be expected sometimes..
Yes, I've had sticker shock a couple of times but the charges for the majority of our repairs have been very reasonable and always explained when necessary.
I would and do recommend this shop to anyone who asks.
They have been helpful and have gone out of their way for us many times.

I have been going to Simon's Auto for years. I have never had any problems. Being a woman i'm always worried about being taken advantage of. Of course is never happened at Simons. They are straight arrows, offer sound advice, alternative courses of action when appropriate, and have never been hesitant to prefer lower-cost solutions. To me and others they have always been cordial. I have recommended them often, and have always been thanked for result.

When my car needed a whole new exhaust system I decided to take it here because it was close to where I live and the other auto shop that could have fixed it for half the price was about 10 miles away but I knew my car couldn't make it that far. They fixed the exhaust, told me they 'threw in' a used muffler for me without charging me extra. I realized that $600 in for them to fix 'various things' I needed my car to past an E-check so I would also need to fix whatever was causing the 'service engine soon' light to stay on. Ultimately, I ended up having them fix that also for almost $200, two days later while I'm driving the car, the light comes back on. I went back to them, I was told they'll check it out for me, and when I was told the estimate was over $300 for something else they said was wrong with my car that triggered that sensor, I decided I couldn't afford to pay them any more money so I decided to just go pick the car up and at that point I was told over the phone that there is a $75 diagnostic fee+tax for what they did! I would of been fine paying that IF I WAS TOLD THAT AMOUNT WHEN I DROPPED THE CAR OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE BUT I WASNT! I thought that was very unprofessional and careless on Simon's part and I didn't feel that it was right for him to just say "oh, sorry..yeah that's how much it costs for the diagnostic". This is a fee you explain to the customer before they leave their vehicle there NOT just casually over the phone. He also told me several different quotes for the same things several different times. It's safe to say I will NOT go back to them! Ever!
Tried to contact customer to tell her that she had an unrelated problem from the first time she was in. When i was unable to reach her we went ahead with the diagnosis. I am very sorry about the misunderstanding. If she would like to bring the car back i maybe able to find a second hand part to fix her evaporative emissions problem for the price of parts only. Thank You Simon

After my brakes lost their pressure, I did some looking around to find a mechanic and settled on Simon's because of other online reviews. I felt compelled to write my own review (which I have never done before) as a caution to others who might be shopping around for a good place- try the lusty wrench or alternative solutions car care instead. After my experience I won't be going back to Simon's.
The day after I dropped my car off, Simon called me and told me that leaky wheel cylinders were to blame for the lost brake pressure, which would cost $700 to repair (including a 'dire' front/rear brake job) . As a college student (with a $1500 car) I told him I couldn't afford that, and brought the truck home to fix myself. Simon was extremely kind about this and didn't charge me, which left me very impressed.
After a little research I took the brakes apart, and found that the wheel cylinders were retaining oil as they should have been (they were old, but they didn't need servicing yet). Still, I rebuilt them and attempted to refill the brake fluid. That's when I found out the real reason my car lost brake pressure-- a huge leak in the front right brake line. That means the $700 job would not have fixed the real problem... though I would never have known it if I had just left my truck at Simon's.
Still, old leaky brake cylinders are a common reason for loss of brake fluid, and Simon was so nice, that I went against my better judgement and called him up to fix up the brake line (for a much more reasonable $200). I brought my truck back on a Wednesday, talked with him again on Thursday, and finally followed up on Monday morning- only to find out that they hadn't started. He told me they would get to it the next day- a full 6 days after I had initially brought it in (and this after he had told me over the phone that they usually finish within 24 hours).
When I finally went to get my car (he called me after 4pm the next day), I asked if he'd knock off $10-20 for such a long wait (hey, I'm a college student after all). At this, Simon became very argumentative, stating that the job had been done for 2 full days and that he had called 2 days before to pick it up. In reality, my truck was completed late the day before, and the phone call he referenced was the one I had placed in which he had told me that they couldn't look at it yet. When I mentioned this, he seemed to doubt himself for an instant (and to check what day it was) before pressing further with his position and implying that I was a liar. I paid the full amount cordially and walked out of the shop. I felt wronged, not because of the 6 day wait or the firm price, but as a direct result of this poor personal interaction. Simon had been really nice and friendly, and I was shocked by his harsh stance. If he had just said 'Sorry about the wait, but I can't give you a discount', I wouldn't be writing this right now- instead he tried to convince me that it hadn't been a long wait, and backed himself into a lie in the process.
So one $700 misdiagnosis (which in the best case was due to incompetence rather than dishonesty), one 6 day wait, and one painful personal interaction later, I decided to do my part and warn other people that take these reviews into consideration when they choose a mechanic. I had very positive interactions with Simon early in the process, and I understand why he has so many fans online. If I had took him at his word early on, I probably would be a fan too-- but after a 3-week long, very involved series of interactions, he's changed my mind. I can only say that I regret having taking my vehicle to Simon's, and that I'll be finding somewhere else to take my truck in the future.

I took my car to three other repair shops none could tell what was wrong. Dropped it off at Simon's that same morning i had a diagnosis and fare estimate. My car was fixed right and runs great. Awesome!!
